Elegy for a Path (2022)

Elegy for a Path was an ephemeral architectonic installation, commissioned for No. 9 Gardens that addressed the fleeting nature of life while lamenting the missed opportunities to repair our relationship with the natural world. An elegy is a poetic structure used to explore themes of loss and mourning, memory, love, solace, redemption and hope. 54 bales of hay were harvested from the site and stacked to create 18 columns. At the end of the exhibition, the bales were used to feed livestock at a neighbouring farm.
